The homes in Queen’s Park I, II, and Cambridge
Crossing at Queen’s Park have been designated a
Special Community Benefits District (SCBD) under
Article 6 Section 2 of the Anne Arundel County Code.
This is a geographical district established by the
County Council and is administered by the Queen’s
Park Community Association, Inc.
The purposes of the Queen’s Park SCBD is:
-
To maintain and improve community property
including playground facilities and equipment;
-
To provide community services; and
-
To defray the administrative costs connected
with these activities.
The QPCA budget is prepared annually and sent by
first class mail to homeowners in accordance with
the laws governing the SCBD. Budget preparation
discussions are held at our general meetings from
September to December. Although the QPCA strives to
maintain a consistent and moderate tax rate, we
cannot guarantee a specific amount from year to
year.
The tax rate is shared equally by all homeowners
and is assessed through the county Real Property Tax
bill. These tax payments are collected by Anne
Arundel County and then remitted to the Association
in 2-3 disbursements. As a result, our fiscal year
must coincide with A.A. County running July 1 to
June 30th. |
